WELCOME BACK OR WELCOME TO THE
BIG TEXAS SHOOTOUT

If you are new to the BTS, please take a few moments to read the Welcome Page click here as I want everyone to understand how we run the tournament. Here you can read about our history, tips on submitting your bracket, contact information, and other tibits about our group of wizards and gurus. If you have played before, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to review this as well.

You can click on the Rules tab on the header above to see our Scoring system and how our points are awarded, what our entry fee is, and where and how to send in your chips. Oh sure, you can start sending in your chips now.

CHIPS: I'm going to take a minute to talk about electronic payments. Yes, you can still send in your chips the old fashioned way by mailing them to me, but if you want to help me out, electronic payments are the way to go.
Venmo is a money sharing app you can download to your mobile device. It is owned by PayPal so this is a trusted source. The difference between these two is that PayPal charges me fees whereas Venmo allows you to send money back and forth without fees. I have several folks that used Venmo last year and it sure made it a lot easier for me to manage plus they got their winnings faster than anyone else. Again, I understand that not everyone is comfortable with today's technology so you can still put a stamp on that envelope and send your chips to me that way, but I wanted to talk about Venmo in hopes that more of you might at least give it a try to help me out a little.

My Venmo account is @gregpainter14

You can search Google or YouTube for more information on Venmo if you like. I know there are other 3rd pary Apps out there for money sharing, but Venmo the only one I'm going to use for electronic payments.

I'm not going to explain Zelle, but you can also send payments to me that way if your bank uses that technology.
