You are almost there. The next step from here is to fill out our entry into the 2010 Big Texas Shootout. Before you do so I need you to read a couple of instructions.
First, please fill out the top information portion of the bracket COMPLETELY. Put your first name in the First Name box, not your last name, and put your last name in the Last Name box, not your first name.
City, State, and e-Mail are also important, but the Most Important Box of all is the Who Introduced You To The BTS box. Not filling out this box could void your entry.
Next, it's on to the bracket itself. I have one instruction for filling it out and that is DO NOT USE ABBREVIATIONS that could have several meanings.
I'm cool with you using UNLV, BYU, UTEP, etc. Those are teams that commonly go by those names. But let me give you some examples of abbreviations not to use.
DO NOT USE:
UT - that could mean Texas, Tennessee, Utah, Temple
OSU - that could mean Ohio State, Oklahoma State, or Oregon State.
KS - that could mean Kansas, Kent State, or Kansas State
or any other abbreviation that could have multiple meanings.
Do not say Tex if you are picking Texas A&M or North Texas or Florida if you are picking Florida State or some other lazy reference to a team that could end up becoming a question for me down the road. You would be surprised how many times I've had those types of teams meet each other down the road. When in doubt, you lose. Capiche?
