CHEATER, CHEATER, PUMPKIN EATER

Two of the biggest cheaters in college basketball (at least before they now have made it legal to cheat with NIL), John Calipari of Arkansas and Bill Self of Kansas were forced to face off against each other. Don’t think that the Selection Committee didn’t know what they were doing. This was revenge for not being able to catch these two paying players so they gave up and called it NIL.

More proof that they were cheaters is that when they held all the money they never had a seed worse than usually a 1 to 4 seed. Now that everyone can pay players, these two ended up a 7th and 10th seeds. See what a level playing field can do. Take that I said level with a grain of salt. Those schools with bigger pots of money succeed better than others.

Regardless of how much I despise these two, their teams put on one helluva game for us. Arkansas got the better of Kansas in the first half, but Kansas came out and changed to a zone defense which stymied Arkansas for most of the second half. However, Kansas couldn’t capitalize and had one too many turnovers and Arkansas hit shots and free throws when they needed to and came out on top to advance to the Second Round.

Only 63 guru’s picked Arkansas to win and advance. There wasn’t that much damage with Kansas losing as only three entries had them making the Final Four and only one had them getting to the final game.
