SWEET SIXTEEN UPSETS
#1 HOUSTON GOES DOWN TO DUKE The second favorite to win the tournament as voted on by our entries, the Houston Cougars fell flat on Kevin Sampson’s face and got eliminated by the Dukies. Cheaters never win Kelvin. It was surprising to me ALABAMA KNOCKS OUT #1 NORTH CAROLINA The big upset of the night was that our first #1 seed went down to defeat. The #1 North Carolina Tar Heels got knocked out by the #4 Alabama Crimson Tide (a football school). After a first week that only saw a few upsets, this one was the third of the night. We had 36 entries that had Alabama making it…

GOING DOWN IN FLAMES TEXAS TECH
Well, this one was a single seat prop plane, but unfortunately it came crashing down to earth. This time it was a Red Raider fan who was flashing their guns up, but eventually shot their own propeller and North Carolina State put an end to their flight this year. ALLY CARMICHAEL

AND THEY LOADED UP THE TRUCK AND MOVED BACK TO LEXINGTON
Oakland Takes Out Kentucky We had a big one. Little ol #14 seed Oakland took out the blue blood Kentucky in the first round. Along with that, they took out 8 brackets from the Shootout with them. There was actually three people that picked Oakland to win. That’s a big 14 points for them. They were: Ally Carmichael, Everett Carmichael, Kevin Knapp 3 Isn’t it amazing that now that everyone can play players, Calapari isn’t as good of a coach as he once was.

IF ONLY STEVE COULD HAVE TAKEN A SHOT
NEVADA SHOWS WHAT A CHOKE JOB LOOKS LIKE Nevada was up 17 over Dayton with 7:36 to go in their game. They then proceeded to play like they had the game won and played non-chalant the rest of the game. In the end they CHOKED! What the hell Steve? They blew a 17 point lead and got themselves eliminated from the tournament 63 – 60. Despite being the lower seed, the Dayton win was more of an upset as only 69 people picked that correctly. No bonus points, but those are a nice 2 points for those that got it right.
